AFTR Recap, Jillian Harris happily engaged!

  • Posted on July 29, 2009 at 6:19 am

5292_108472267716_701507716_2311994_8246697_nReid Rosenthal for the next Bachelor! I personally urge all of you who read my page to run to ABC’s website and vote for Reid. It appears as if the rumors of Kiptyn Locke being a shoe-in are wrong. Not only have they been off, but so has Reality Steve’s prediction on the finale. He predicted Jillian wouldn’t get zilch. He seemed to have more of a negative slant on my favorite girl Jillian Harris and I do not know why. But let’s focus on the positve. Jillian is getting married in the next twelve months and I am so excited. I think Ed and Jillian make a fabulous couple. I must admit it was hard for me at first to forgive Ed for choosing his job at first over Jillian, but at looks like he came through litterally in the end for our girl.
Sooo, you heard Chris Harrison, go cast your vote for Reid Rosenthal!
So happy to see a sappy happy ending for once on television. Just, like Jillian Harris predicted as she was sent home in a limo in New Zealand: “I will have my happy ending, I will find someone.” Not word for word, but, you go girl! YOU DESERVE IT.

The Bachelorette Party Finale

The Bachelorette Party Finale

What can I say? Sometimes life smiles down upon you and you are granted something special…like sharing the BEHIND THE SCENES of the exclusive Bachelorette Finale Party for the cast of the show. I have to thank Juan (one of my favorites from the beginning for sharing his photos with me on my website!

Juan and Ed together again

Juan and Ed together again

Let me just say as I am writing this and downloading photos, how upset were you the ATFR show was not on last night? I hate to even admit that I care that much, but I do. Let’s discuss Kiptyn Locke for a quick sec. I am convinced now more than ever he was only ‘half into it’. He didn’t look that devastated to me. He didn’t even propose. I can’t imagine him ever getting down on one knee and proposing. Some guys are just perpetual bachelors. Also, Reid Rosenthal??

Reid and Jillian together again...just friends though, I think~

Reid and Jillian together again...just friends though, I think~

I loved it when Reid came back for Jillian. I was so touched by his proposal. I don’t know about you, but I was thrilled to see TWO PROPOSALS. Everyone was predicting zilch, but Jillian go, two! A dream for any girl. Jillian Harris just rocked as the Bachelorette. I haven’t mentioned it, but I will now, one of my friends from Rancho Santa Fe, Julien Hug was one of the contestants. He was featured as the guy jumping out of the plane on the beginning promos. He made it on two of the episodes. Also, Jessee, from Carmel Valley was another favorite of mine. I thought he would be a good catch for some beauty out there.

Two of my favorites! Reid and Jessee

Two of my favorites! Reid and Jessee

I feel now that the show is over, that there is really no big revelation on ATFR. That was just all hype by ABC to keep us watching two nights in a row.

JESSEE, JUAN AND JULIAN, ALL J"s!!

JESSEE, JUAN AND JULIAN, ALL J"s!!

I don’t know about you, but there were almost too many J’ beginning names to keep everyone straight. Kiptyn was the easiest name to remember besides, Jillian.

Jillan still loves Juan! Awe, check out that diamond!

Jillan still loves Juan! Awe, check out that diamond!

The gang is back in townSo tell me what you think? Were you happy about the ending? I was, even though I originally predicted Reid. Ed and Jillian seem pretty happy. I hope that’s the same on the final show.

Juan and ed

Thanks again Juan for sharing your photos!! Just loved the show and thrilled to see a somewhat happy ending. Don’t worry about Reid. I’m sure he’s been snatched up in his hometown already.

Bachelorette Spoiler Update

Jillan with that Ed, that has obviously been paid off by the producers

Jillan with that Ed, that has obviously been paid off by the producers

Oh my goodness! Quite a stir. Now I am intrigued more than ever. Thanks Readers for giving me your insider tips. So Ed is the winner eh?
She always had butterflies for ed, let him come back and now as my fabulous readers have filled me in, it sounds as if my hopes and dreams of Reid and Jillian may be over as I tune in like the rest of us to watch, Ed win Jillian Harris in the end. Looks my my sources might be wrong. I just can’t wait to watch the conclusion to this long and drawn out drama, which I now like just as well as the last Bachelor.
Just one thing~Do you think they will end up being the next Trista and Ryan?

The Bachelorette Finale spoiler-Kiptyn Locke next bachelor

the next bachelor
the next bachelor

Tonight’s episode of the Bachelorette will not be disappointing…Well, depending if you are hoping for the happily ever after moment like Melissa Rycroft shared while frolicking in the pool with Jason Mesnick, while Molly was just around the corner text messaging him the moment she was whisked away in the limo. No. Tonight’s episode is about Jillian Harris looking fabulous in pink. Not only does she look fabulous, she will end up kind of doing the switcharoo thig just like Jason. “ATFR” will reveal which man will propose to her on that show. She might have ended up with Ed at the end of the finale, but be prepared to watch Jillian Harris accept Reid Rosenthal’s proposal of marriage when it is all said and done.
I am hosting a party at my house for this fabulous evening, which should be one of ABC’s top rated shows of this month. Trust me, this will be some of the best t.v. drama we see all summer, while waiting for the return of our favorite t.v. dramas, i.e. CSI New York, and CSI Miami.
Take my advice: Do not miss the the show right after the season is over. Be ready to stay up all night either being disgusted or a believer in love…or better yet, impressed with ABC’s ability to manipulate the public, as they rake in the big sponsors. Good job Mike Fleiss on choosing Jillian Harris. She ended up being the winner of this whole wacky season. Forget Wes and that damned pilot guy. Jillian Harris is the only one worth talking about. And Kiptyn Locke? Didn’t I just see you at the Albertson’s by the Flower Hill Mall recently. I sure hope you give me an exclusive interview at the Next Bachelor.  At one point I thought you could be boring. However, after watching you climb the pole, encourage Jillie to new heights, then manage to make the jump to the bar like the flying trapeze, I have reconsidered…You are a risk taker and I like that.

Good luck on the next season’s show. I want an exlcusive as native columnist that works for one of your favorite newspapers-The Coast News!

FIVE BOOKS THAT CHANGED MY LIFE

  • Posted on July 26, 2009 at 8:42 pm

After recently writing a bit on Brad Pitt’s recent change in religion, I have been touched by everyone’s passionate views regarding their own feelings on the subject. I think that is one thing I love the most in life. Passion. You know that deep feeling that makes you care about something in a way that takes your breathe away. After contemplating about my religious view and how others perceive religion in a skewed manner, I thought I would share with you my top FIVE influential books that helped shape my moral code on my own unique journey. Here they are:
511TC43MT1L._SL500_AA240_The Power of Positive thinking is considered by some to be one of the first ‘self-help’ books ever written. In my mid-twenties, my Grandmother Lula sent this book to me during a time I was searching for deeper answers to life. Originally from the mid-west, I associated the Bible more with ‘fire and brimstone and that hardcore side that gives us those cheesy T.V. images of evangelists on Sunday morning. Why this book is so important for anyone to read is because NVP links psychology, prayer and highlights the positive words from the Bible, which I rarely heard growing up in Missouri. “ACT AS IF” and it shall be. A simple thought that still helps me when I need to change my thoughts away from the negativity. Not only does he incorporate philosophy, he shares first hand stories that are fun to read, then recaps the end of each chapter with lessons to help you change your life.
Trust me, this book is a must for anyone. I am grateful I had such a wonderful Grandmother that cared enough to help me during a time of need.
#2images A Course In Miracles. Read on Google the backs-story on how this book came to the shelves our lives and founded an institution called “A Foundation for Inner Peace.” This book is told from the stand point that reveals all of the secrets of the Bible. The basic message is “Return to Love”, which Marianne Williamson so adequately translates this deep intensive read simply for the masses. #3marianne_williamson_a_return_to_love3This book outlines the basic message for you to comprehend and to follow. If you have gone through a recent break-up, need direction or comfort, this book is a self healing novel that makes you believe in the power of love. #4 As a Man Thinketh, by James AllenAs A Man Thinketh“Dreamers are the Saviors of the World.” This simple, yet succint book on how our inner thoughts shape our daily lives nails the basic fundamental principles of a good ethic upbringing. Not only does this book lay out moral code, it also inspires you to believe in your dreams. I will never forget lying in bed in Santa Barbara over Thanksgiving weekend when I read that fabulous line: “Dreamers are the SAVIORS of the world.” Amen. #5 seven-habits-of-highly-effective-peopleMy fifth book I would like to mentiono–The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People has gained much notoriety over the years.
Covey’s breakdown on interdependent relationships and how what we think can influence our daily relationships taught me how to interact better in social and work settings. This book has the theory of writing down your life mission, which can help a person find more stability with their goals and dreams. If I had to chose one, It would be Norman Vincent Peale, and that’s why he’s my favorite all time author.

Reality Steve and his sick attraction to Wes Hayden

  • Posted on July 23, 2009 at 2:10 am

 Reality Steve finds his Match

After recently reading Reality Steve’s take on TMTA, which he failed to even recap appropriately, I am sickened by all of his salutations to Wes Hayden and for condemning ABC. Let me fill you in on a secret Reality Steve: It’s ABC’s show and they can do whatever they want. Wes Hayden was merely a pon in their ploy to win big ratings by exploiting idiots that sign up for these shows. No offense to anyone, I signed up, too (Who wants to Marry my Dad 2).
Let’s just set the record straight. Why would ABC have Wes come back to eploit more of his stupid “Love don’t come easy Cd’s” that are only going to be popular in Mexico? ABC got enough out of Wes and it was the only really compelling story going on as a threadline from beginning to the end. And, don’t slam my Miss Jillian. If Jillian does not end up married at the end of this show, this does not deem her a failure as society would so like women to believe they are nothing without men and a ring on their finger. Let’s not forget, she is the chooser and she can do whatever she wants. SHE REJECTS THEM IN THE END.
Stop bragging about hanging out with the biggest guy loser I’ve ever seen aired on national t.v. And, why be pissed off with ABC for rejecting insolent Wes in front of the cameras, finally!? Maybe ABC felt used by that dopehead, too.
Anyway, I was saddened to see that one of my favorite Reality bloggers didn’t even recap the show properly.
Too bad you got sideswiped by a loser that’s just a wannabe cowboy.

“The Men Tell All,” The Bachlorette, July 20th,2009 (Plus the Winner!)

  • Posted on July 21, 2009 at 6:20 am

Bachelorette Reid Final Episode, Men Tell All

REID ROSENTHAL, Machel Penn predicts is the ultimate winner of Jillian Harris’s heart. After watching “The Men Tell All,” the absence of Reid and the wonderful absence of Wes “the loser” Hayden, I can tell you as a viewer and from my sources that Reid Rosenthal is the one that walks away with Jillian on the last episode of The Bachelorette. The obvious? Ed and Kiptyn are players and luckily Reid has the courage (Or ABC paid him enough) to come back for the final show.

Reid Rosenthal, Jillian's True love

I just have one question though? At what point did Mike Fleiss figure out to pull these switcharoo antics? How smart is he? As the viewer we think we are being treated fairly to–Here is your rose, you’ve got it and you are safe type thing–when really these rules no longer apply on The Bachelorette or The Bachelor. After Molly and Jason have taken center stage once again, you wonder at what point Jillian will still allow them to keep stealing her thunder? No offense, Jillie, I’m one of your biggest fans. However, at a certain point, a star must protect their show. Ask me I know. Tea Leoni kicked me off of her show once (Flying Blind) in the early 90′s and I’ve never forgotten it. Now you might think, I would’ve been terribly upset by her shannigans. No. Quite the opposite.  I admired her ability to notice the threat of the ‘upstaging on her own show’. Not that I would ever do that, I was a ‘Under Five” at the time and you have to be in the business to understand that kind of language…So let me make my point. I just hope that Jillian Harris has found her star power and realizes she IS center stage and Molly and Jason have long been forgotten. Sorry, happy couple. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles on airtime in Hollywood.

And, may I just add….Thank God that loser Wes wasn’t there. Is pigheaded approach to realism regarding ‘having Jillian wrapped around his pinky’ made me want to vomit. Grow up, or stay in Texas. And, having a number one hit in MEXICO is nothing to brag about, at least not where I come from down in the good ol’ Ozarks. Yes, that’s where I grew up and I don’t even think Wes Hayden is a real cowboy. GOAT ROAPER is the slang for blokes like him. Laurel, run for your life and Jillian keep rinsing your mouth out with some minty listerine. What a pig.

Thank God, ABC did not let his presence back in front of their cameras.

So let’s recap TMTA. They didn’t. They were boring and Jillian looked stunning. I even think that Chris has a sweet crush on her. I am just somewhat inspired because it appears as if Reid grows some huevos, Kiptyn still seems placid and Ed has that “Jack in the Box” look that makes you want to slap him. Go back to your big job and stop bs-ing the poor girl.

Let me know what you think? Do you agree with my prediction? Isn’t it quite obvious with the absence of Reid Rosenthal??

Go Jillian, Go home Molly and Jason and let’s just hope Canada is celebrating their new found Superstar that’s garnered them a few minutes of fame here in the USA!

The Bachelorette’s Recap with the men

  • Posted on July 21, 2009 at 1:44 am

Tonight’s show is definitely interesting. With the word ‘Around Town’ in Hollywood that Ried did not make the ‘behind the scenes’ show with the other bachelor it only leads one to believe one thing:

HE IS THE ONE JILLIAN ENDS UP WITH on the finally episode.

With the highest ratings ever for the ‘final rose’, it looks like ABC is pulling out the stops to bring ratings to the highest number they can muster with this somewhat lack luster bachelorette season. Call me crazy, but this show just doesn’t do it for me like the Bachelor does. I am sure they did have to pay some of these men to do whatever they did…Because let’s face Men are just not the ‘caddy type’ like we women can be when it comes to the dating scene.
IF KIPTYN has been named the next Bachelor, let’s just hope the women are some extreme hotties, because I find his air time, a bit dull and I keep wondering what happened to Juan, Sacha, and of course of others that should have been kept just out of the sake they were good looking and appealing.
Jillian Harris–Hey, I’m one of your biggest fans. However, this season I feel you let too many good ones go, based on some smooth talking and a simple guitar strum.
I do, however, like Ried (sorry guy if this is the wrong spelling) and I hope that he knocks Ed on his block and Kiptyn gets his heart handed to him on the next Bachelor show.
I am just one of those sentimental types that was just holding out for the big proposal at the end of the show. If there isn’t one, well, at least Jillian went to Spain, New Zealand, frolicked in Canada, and enjoyed the sand on the Hawaii Islands. Her body looks great, her hair is fab, but next time, I just hope that you dig deeper behind the talk than listening to a bunch of players . As we all know, players are fun, sexy, but at the end of the day, Jillian, those aren’t the guys that want to settle down and get married. I’m sure you will find love with with all of this fame and your wonderful down to earth approach. And, yes, let’s  not forget the hot tub scene. I do believe that’s what led ABC to ask her to smooch all of these 30 something men.  Congrats on being a cool bachelorette. However, I will be extremely disappointed if you are standing there empty handed in your gorgeous pink dress. I can’t stand to see anyone cry, let alone another female that’s been had by a punch of players just looking for fame.

Ried, come back and make Jillian Harris smile for the cameras one last time!

Bachelorette predictions! Kiptyn next bachelor from San Diego, and Ried is coming back

  • Posted on July 15, 2009 at 8:09 am

All I can say is, Jillian, don’t worry, if one of these men do not propose to you, another one will. If at the end of your fabulous journey on this show, where you are standing in your pink dress alone, just around the corner you will find the most suitable suiter. Just around the corner could be Mr. Right and these guys that didn’t the nerve, well, they will just have to remember what they lost as they forever watch this show. Jillian, I hope that you have found your guy. I hope that Kiptyn isn’t a player, and the Ed has not been paid by ABC to ‘jerk’ around with your heart strings. I hope that you go find Ried somewhere and elope with him. Move to San Diego and I will take you to my favorite spots and to the best restaurant in town. I will introduce you to my guy and we can share notes on those dopes that didn’t quite get you were ‘the apple of their eye’.
Hey, take it from me, a woman that loves Canada, You are a class act and I am so thrilled that you were the bachelorette.
Cheers to Jillian Harris and her quest to find love on one of those Reality shows that I must admit, capture my Monday nights.
Machel Penn Shull

But back to the real story,  Kiptyn is the next bachelor, (I guess I should be excited about this since he lives down the street from The Coast News, however, I really don’t find his abs all that sexy) and Ried is coming back on the last show to win back Jillian’s heart.

Don’t ask me for my sources, just know that this is the big news breaker and Jillian won’t be moving to San Diego after all.

Jillan with that Ed, that has obviously been paid off by the producers
